There were the ups and downs this weekend. The Ups - 8 of us spent the saturday night and sunday afternoon together, hah. The Downs - England and favourites were out of the world's biggest sporting stage.
The Downs:
This world cup clearly shows something - Strong individuals flop. Name some and Lampard, Ronaldinho, Rooney, Michael Owen, Raul Gonzalez etc, etc.
Disappointing season. I'm now backing Philip Lahm to win the Golden Ball award after his tireless performance against Argentina saw Germany through to the Semi-finals.
The Ups:
TK wins again. What a bore. Thanks kenneth for the hotel room after the 8 of us - Gary, Pei-ge, lun tai, zack, yan-er, darence watched the dramatic quarter final clash between ENG and POR and the 1998 finalists BRA and FRA. France won on performance, Brazil lost on concentration.
This world cup will see the end of the Sven's era, the Beckham-ed freekick and the end of France's dazzling musician, Zinedine Zidane.
Where was Lampard in this tournament?! Zzz.
